DIY Easy Kitchen Decor . so now i’m going to show you how those DIYs that i have in my family room as well as in the kitchen area were created let’s go to work all right on opposite sides of the stovetop are actually two planters made of cement I simply took them outside and spray painted them white now here i am using the Warren penny metallic paint guys I placed a little in a recycled bowl from a previous project i have a makeup sponge here we’re just gonna have a little bit in their playoff you don’t want to have too much like so and i’m going to come over here while i take my actual stencil onto this cement plant her that i painted white.
And then you just simply going to push down gently now i know that there is some bouncing in the actual stencil but that’s okay because you are going to be able to get a great looking image and let this dry in between applications and go back and do it again beautiful now these other stones from the dollar tree as well as the onion grass also from the dollar tree now you can use the phone or the rocks is solely up to you I plenty rocks from a previous project so i wanted to use them I bend the ends because i don’t want them to be too tall and I can straighten them out and recycle them for another project later and as you can see i have lights underneath my cabinets and I don’t want the grass to get too close to that light because it can get a little warm.

So I just think these losers and I’m cutting the grass the desired length just cutting it now for my utensil holder now with anything connecting to the food that you’re going to eat you need to take some sanitary precautions so I did do a gentle wash on the actual planter would just look warm water and dish detergent very quickly making sure that the paint was dry before of course and of course I gave the rocks a little bath before placing them inside of the planter now for the mantle i created the same arrangement in a recycled glass container I also painted our blessings white for the spring season now this mirror is part of a trio that was one hanging in our dining room i purchase it from the program super store for about 20 bucks they had it on clearance and the white bass was also around twenty bucks i purchased it at a furniture store in the clearance area and the picture of course well that’s the hubby’s choice now I used to be really into the greens and the bergen ease those jewel tones and that’s when i bought these mixing bowls they’ve got cr[a]cks on the inside now.
And they really aren’t safe from mixing anything so i can simply turn them into a planter i am using the same metallic paint as before and it is beautiful it only took a few coats know that you notice anything that resembles of boxwood is so on trend hot hot hot and we say these things up for the holiday season so we can put lights on guess what take them out using right now use them all year long light him up don’t like them up but enjoy them all right guys this is a magic lamp shade it has two ceramic magnets attached to two burlap flowers the flowers is white and the other one is natural i purchased them both at the same time and you know what I’m a little lazy with this kind of thing so i could one on the front and one in the back so now when I want to lighten up the lamp I simply turn it around to the other side and that’s perfect for spring or fall now when i started my quest to get more copper into the kitchen I started with this spray paint.
And I of course paint things for fall with it but there are still plenty of it left so I decided to paint the cattle with it the issue is it doesn’t give you that total copper finish that has on the lid it just seems like maybe I’m not applying the coats but nevertheless I think that i will stick with the metallic paint now i have here the succulents on the dollar tree as well as the mosque from the dollar tree and i purchased this floral foam from the dollar tree inside it goes i added in the succulents and voila I now have an arrangement for the breakfast table now this is that metallic pink that I’m raving about it just does the job for me it gets so close the copper that it just baffles me i love the whole look of this it is worn penny it does not say copper on the label now on the rectangular tray here I’m just simply trimming up the edges because I’ve actually like the copper and this silver working together and I can see using this in the fall even into the holiday season so I really do like this and of course I painted this entire one because i really wanted to use it as more of a charger for a salad plate and I also wanted to see how would actually look and think about this adding turquoise or teal to this or it was just really be a great combination fuse with white and i just think this is really pretty so I think the one penny is the one for me I think this is the one that I’m going to consistently use to bring this combination together can you just imagine turquoise with this and this is just going to be amazing I can’t wait to throw a little turquoise in there later on during the summer friends I put myself on a very tight budget to decorate room by room in our home I know I want copper cookware I know that I want a couple like fixture hanging over the island and those things are not cheap so doing DIYs to make sure that I get the rest of the accessories and decor throughout the home that I love is absolutely fine with me you don’t want any debt you don’t want to incur any debt to decorate the home that you for a card to pay for that’s how we roll in our household
